Accurate Woodworking, Inc. was founded by Richard and Doris Kowall in 1954. Their initial remodeling business often included custom cabinetry that Richard built on site or in the basement of their home. As Richard perfected his skill, demand for his custom cabinetry narrowed his focus and transformed the family business into a full custom woodworking shop. In 1976, they moved their business to its current location on Highland Road in Waterford, Michigan. By this time, their three sons, Rik, Mike and Joe, had become an intricate part of their growing success. Together, they established a clientele that included among others; several noted architects
